A fourth-generation Livermore resident, Don Swanson has deep roots in the community he calls home. He spent 30 years at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as an IT Manager, leading a talented team of software engineers in developing custom business applications to meet the Lab’s unique needs.

Beyond his professional career, Don has dedicated well over 10,000 volunteer hours to the City of Livermore, fostering strong community relationships and working tirelessly to make Livermore an exceptional place to live.

In 2018, Don retired from LLNL to join his wife and two daughters full-time in the family’s real estate business. As Director of Operations, he combines his leadership, problem-solving skills, and lifelong commitment to Livermore to help clients achieve their dream of homeownership. Don and his family are passionate about creating opportunities for every person to own a home and be part of the vibrant Tri-Valley community.
